Frustration of the People – 40 Years essay 2
If you ask most people and regardless of their political affiliations, age, race, sex, or religion, what frustrates them most they will probably answer that they don’t feel that they are being listened to and nobody understands their concerns on any topic that impacts upon their personal life.
Now whilst it would be easy for me to pick on the awful Labour Governments of these past 11 years and the lick spittle meanness of so much of the legislation they have introduced that has poisoned the atmosphere in the UK, I cannot in all honesty say that it would have been very much different under a Government of a different political persuasion.
The Next Two Years…
Perhaps it is just a symptom of me transmuting into a Grumpy Old Man but I increasingly find myself irritated by the average political journalist and TV pundit, they are so lightweight and pointless in the “reporting” they do that you wonder why they bother. I suspect it is all driven by a 24 hours news agenda and cutting news programmes down to once every 6 hours in 24, would probably cut out most of the drivel. Still it did lead to me speculating about other things…
Introduction to a Project – 40 Years
Perhaps apart from putting my views down on paper in order to clarify them in my own mind as each “news story” hits the fan, by doing so I can look back later and perhaps, take another view. It is amazing how we can react in “this way” to a breaking news story and yet, a few days later as the dust has settled and more information has come to light, in fact take a totally opposite view. By putting my thoughts to ‘paper’, whilst it will ‘expose me’ when I am wrong, it should likewise strengthen me when I’m right…Now time for a project !
What A Difference a Year Makes…
The news team at the Daily Telegraph can often display a wicked but funny edge when setting topics for the “Your View”discussion board on their web site. Today they came up with a real classic and it being a Saturday, someone mailed questioning whether their aim was to make people choke on their cornflakes.
Apparently and whilst there may be some who are not taking their medication who might say; “It don’t seem a day too long”, come next Friday Gordon Brown will have been Prime Minister for a whole year. The question the DT posed was “What do you think of his first year as PM ?”
Gordon Brown Only Looks Insane… He Isn’t
I suppose one of my favourite sayings is that “Life is a journey not a destination”. What I mean by this is that whilst we often and indeed should, make plans to do this or that, often events in life overtake us or quite suddenly, we can see things from a totally different perspective. For me today and thinking about Gordon Brown’s behaviour over the EU Constitution, I had a sudden realisation and I thought I might share it…
On Being Old and Wanting to Work…
The following “simple story” is a response I gave to an article in the Daily Telegraph written by some lady from Age Concern or some similar type of muddle class crap organization. Now am I just being a “grumpy old git” in reply to some lady who apparently wishes all us old chaps well or, am I making a serious point ? Judge it for yourself.
Although I am sure that Emma Soames is a very nice person, I am not sure that she understands the basic issues, wanting to be helpful is not the same as providing appropriate help.
Fixing the EU Issue
In a sense, there is a very strong link between my last entry and this in the sense that people are being dishonest when there is no reason to be so. I am in favour of us in the UK having a “trade only” arrangement with the EU but whilst we still live, at least theoretically and before Gordon Brown totally destroys it in his dying moments, in a democracy, if the British Electorate voted on the matter and decided to “stay in as is…” I would albeit reluctantly, accept their decision.
As with many in this and other countries, I am pro-Europe but totally anti-EU because I see the EU as a Fascist regime which both Hitler and Stalin would be proud of, that will deliver yet another European Land War in the near future. But all that said, I have started to look at this from a slightly different perspective and my conclusion is that it is the “Heads of State and Prime Ministers” who should be “put to the sword” rather than the “Brussels Elite”…
Just How Stupid is this Man ?
Apparently today the Albatross in a tartan waistcoat gave a speech defending the Nazi style Laws introduced under this disgusting Government. The proof that Gordon Brown like most politicians doesn’t even have the IQ of Pond life came from his own lips…
He Actually Said…
The EU – A Mad Hatters Tea Party
Following the result of the Irish Referendum, our disgraceful Government led by “Dead Man Walking” Brown and his ‘son of an immigrant family’ Milliband, will apparently press ahead with ratifying the EU Constitution so that if the chance arises, we UK citizens can still be sold into EU slavery and they can pick up whatever inducements Brussels has offered them personally.
The most interesting thing was watching the odious Milliband being interviewed, he really must be one of the most stupid creatures on the planet. If he had bothered to look at the comments made by Irish voters as to why they rejected it, leave aside those passionately opposed and everyone else said that they didn’t understand it and therefore felt that it must be wrong in some way.
Cry Freedom and Gordon is a Moron !
Today is a truly great day because our cousins in Ireland have once more cried “Freedom” and voted down the Lisbon Treaty – EU Constitution and may Almighty God always bless them for this for this day, they fought for all European citizens not just their own.
The Irish Constitution required by Law a Referendum, by morality, we in the UK were owed a Referendum too on this topic but the “Albatross in a tartan waistcoat” and his puppy Milliband, have denied us this despite it being promised in their election manifesto. We all now know that Gordon Brown is a total moron so despite the EU Constitution now being dead, he will insist on the sham of ratifying it through Parliament – wrong move but then in his case, so too is breathing !
When he says that he will take the “Right Decisions” he is only talking about him using rough or smooth toilet paper to wipe his bottom.
Goodbye Gordon and good riddance !
