A Brilliant New Idea on the “Lisbon Treaty”

im-eu.jpg

We can moan as much as we like about the Fascist Gordon Brown signing away our British Freedoms and selling us into EU Bondage but, as with all Dictators, it is pointless arguing with him just as it would have been with Stalin, Hitler or Pol Pot, the One-Eyed one considers himself the font of all knowledge.

So, I have come up with a different ‘wheeze’ which I want all the public to take up and regardless of whether they think our current ‘engagement’ with the EU is good or bad. I am not sure whether to call this the “20%” or the “80%” Campaign so votes on which are invited but the idea goes as follows…

The Current EU Situation

I believe that the UK would be far better off with a “trade only” relationship with the EU but between the “Iron Chancellor” (what was Adolph Hitler’s title – Chancellor ?) Banana Boy Milliband and most likely a bunch of Quislings who represent the Senior Ranks of the Foreign Office – “The Minister is being brave…” the chances of getting a democratic decision to reverse this policy, will prove impossible. If Brown cannot apologise for screwing up the UK economy for 11 years, the arrogant faggot is not going to be persuaded over this, is he ?

I am a Believer in Democracy

Whilst I want out, other Britons may want in so, we need a proper Referendum not on the Lisbon Treaty but on whether we stay or go. We should negotiate the terms for a trade only relationship and then put it to a vote after a suitable campaign period and the result is binding on us all. However in order to get these useless Members of Parliament to do this, we need to apply pressure to them in such a way that they break ranks with the”Great Dictator Brown” and I have a plan.

80/20

Apparently 80% of the Laws of this land now come from Brussels, are not debated on the floor of the House and just signed presumably as Orders in Council.

Okay then it must surely follow that if MPs are only doing 20% of the job then either they take only 20% of their current salaries and pension entitlement or, we reduce their numbers by 80% which as there are currently 645 would mean a maximum of 140 MPs in future.

This can only be considered fair to the British Taxpayers because if any of us only did 20% of our job we could only expect 20% of the pay if, our employer were to put up with us. It’s around 100 miles from London to Bristol so an equivalent might be catching a 125 at Paddington to Travel to Temple Meads and finding the train stopped at Reading because the Train Crew only wanted to do 20% of the journey.

A final thought considering how greedy and self serving MPs have become is that we back date this to when the EU started providing most of out Laws even if it was 10 years ago and slice all salary/pension entitlements accordingly which would include people who have left the Commons such as Tony Blair. Some thought might also be given to the public taking 80% of any equity growth in MPs London properties bought as second homes in the Capital, after all, this too is taxpayer funded.
