A Left Wing, Anti-Catholic, Anti-Jewish British Media
Some years ago Salmon Rushdie wrote the “Satanic Verses” and we were treated with the sight of stupid Muslims in Bradford and other exotic places within the UK, burning copies of a book they had never read on the grounds that it “insulted” their faith. The truth of course was that ignorant and lazy as they were, their actions were based upon what the “Media” said.
How we laughed at them… but we shouldn’t have because they frightened all the British media people.
Look at the state the UK Media is in today, lazy and pathetic beyond belief and no more able to check their sources than I as a single person with my own blog. The Pope gives a speech to the Curia in Rome and some hack decides that the “Pope has attacked Gay People” and both the BBC and the Telegraph led with that totally incorrect headline for over 24 hours and never issued a ‘correction’ or apology afterwards.
Dumping on Catholics is OK…
It appears all right to vilify the Pope for something he didn’t say so that legions of “Gay Groups” and their sympathisers can spout off miss-informed rubbish. The amount of ignorance expressed through the media which rarely check their facts, if ever, is amazing. I have written on this blog about the Arch Bishop of Canterbury and his comments on Shiria Law which I disagreed with but…I had downloaded and read his actual words in full before I did so, I did not rely on the media reports because, we can no longer trust them.
The same thing applied to an address this Pope made which bought the Islamic world out in protest because both his words and the context in which they were said were totally misrepresented… This world seems often to be full of people walking around waiting to be insulted, nowadays we even have “militant atheists” who are true believers in the “Holy Books of Dawkins” – personally I think J R Tolkien is better !
Dumping on Jews is OK too…
Some idiot in the Telegraph following the mass air raids by Israel on Gaza wrote “Israel is addicted to violence”. My comments were as follows:
“A silly headline and an even sillier article. You can prattle on about this or that but the truth is, neither you nor I know what is going on right now or WHY it’s going on.
Why should Hamas fire or allowed to have fired, rockets into Israel when they know that eventually and sooner rather than later, it would provoke retaliation that Gaza is powerless to do anything about ?
Hamas is funded mainly by Iran and will therefore do as it is told. My personal guess is that this may be in part a ‘distraction’ ordered by Iran for its purposes or, creating the prelude for a re-opening of hostilities between Hamas and Israel across the Lebanese border.
Whilst I agree that Israel has made many mistakes over the decades, this particular episode is not one that they started, Hamas and whoever funds it have reasons to inflame the situation, an incoming new President may have something to do with it or, Iran wants to do an underground test of a nuclear weapon, I’m sure we will find out in due course.”
Back to the Pope…
A lot of the comments made on the bulletin boards seemed to be from people who had an axe to grind against the Catholic Church which unless you happen to be Catholic, seems a pointless waste of their time. Whether any reader/viewer takes any notice of what the Pope says is entirely optional. If they are Catholic, they should lend an ear, if not why should they bother ?
But more importantly, the thrust of the reporting was that the media chose to deliberately tell lies about what the Pope said. Both the Telegraph and the BBC said that the Pope was talking about “Homosexuality” when he made no use of that word. It seems okay to “Diss the Pope” but one never sees or hears Muslim Clerics being “outed” by these same cowardly people in the British Media, they tip toe around the most blatant atrocities and evil with never a word spoken, never a negative report published.
Condemn a man by all means for “his sins” but the British Media would condemn a man for words he didn’t say – how Orwellian can one get ? Then again I guess it is a sort of compliment, the opposite of Love is not Hate, it is Indifference so I guess the fact that the weak minded attack the Catholic Church and Jews just illustrates how powerful and vibrant we still are !
