People don't probably appreciate just how high quality today's even cheap digital cameras are compared to the happy snappy cameras used by ordinary people during and after WWII and up to the 1970s. For my Parents, Grand parents and my own childhood/youth, all I have are prints to scan and work from and many not in very good condition either.
